We're a small team of night owls, insomniacs, and deep-focus chasers who got tired of choosing between silence that feels too empty and noise that pulls you out of the moment. Rainwave started as a personal fix for restless nights and distracted afternoons — and grew into a home for anyone who thinks better, and sleeps better, with rain on the window.
Our mission is simple: give people a way to quiet their mind without a screen full of settings getting in the way. No gamified streaks, no noisy dashboards — just sound, tuned carefully, that does its job and gets out of your way.
Inside the app you'll find layered rain recordings — real thunder rolling in the distance, crickets holding down the night, the low hum of a corner café, water ticking off a windowsill — mixed to help you drop into focus or drift into sleep. A gentle fade-out timer lowers the volume slowly instead of cutting off mid-dream, and offline mode means your favorite mix travels with you, signal or not.
Rainwave Daily Sleep ("Rainwave," "we," "us," or "our") was built on one principle: your listening habits, your sleep schedule, and your downloaded sound mixes are nobody's business but your own. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain terms, how we handle — and mostly don't handle — your information.
We collect nothing. Rainwave has no account system, no sign-up form, no email capture, and no location tracking. We don't ask for your name, and there's no analytics running in the background counting your taps. Every sound mix you build, every sleep timer you set, and every saved preference exists only inside the app on your device — never on our servers, because we don't have any that talk to you.
Since we don't collect information, there is none for us to use, analyze, sell, or share. There is no advertising profile being built, no usage pattern being studied, and no data pipeline running quietly in the background. Every feature — from the rain soundscapes to the fade timer — is calculated and executed entirely on your device.
Anything Rainwave remembers — your favorite mixes, downloaded audio for offline listening, your custom timer lengths, your volume curve — is stored locally on your phone or tablet, in the app's private storage space. There is no cloud sync, no backup server, and no remote database. If it's not on your device, it doesn't exist.
Rainwave does not embed third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. We don't share data with partners because there's no data to share. The app doesn't quietly phone home to measurement platforms — what happens on your device stays on your device.
Because your information never leaves your device, there's no transmission to intercept and no remote database to breach. Security, in our case, mostly means writing clean, minimal code that doesn't reach further than it needs to — no unnecessary permissions, no hidden network calls.
Rainwave does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, because Rainwave does not collect personal information from anyone at all. The app is designed to be safe for a general audience under COPPA principles, precisely because there's no data collection mechanism to safeguard.
You are always in complete control of your Rainwave experience. Since everything lives locally, deleting the app removes every trace of your mixes, timers, and downloaded sounds — instantly and completely. There are no accounts to close and no cloud backups lingering somewhere, because none were ever created.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features or for clarity. Any changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Our core commitment — no data collection, ever — will not change.
